SRILA GURUDEVA IS SIMPLY AMAZING!

I am now in Govardhan with Srila Gurudeva and about 700 devotees. It is powerful. I could give you only good news, but if I did it would not sound as wonderful without hearing the drama that preceded it. So here goes. What I have heard from my sources inside is that Srila Gurudeva had told the devotees to take him to Govardhan and he was not taking meds and doctors treatments for a day or so. It looked a little serious. So many were hoping and praying for the best but bracing for the worst. To our pleasant surprise and great Happiness Srila Gurudeva just turned it all around today.


He accepted treatments from the Doctors and took his meds and prasad and the whole nine yards. He was walking with assistance and talking a little. His vital signs were all within good parameters, normal blood pressure and oxygen levels etc. Healthy and normal activity in the basic bodily functions. It was amazing. I saw smiles on the faces of Brajanath and Vrnda and others. One of his care takers said "There is absolutely nothing but good news today!"


The devotees here are all anxious to see Srila Gurudeva. This of course presents a huge challenge to provide him with the calm and undisturbed atmosphere he needs for his health and recovery and still give everyone a darshan. Even logistically speaking with the size of his quarters it would be a nightmare trying to march all these devotees through the room for darshan or even worse having them squeeze in front of a tiny screen door to have a peek. So they have come up with a brilliant idea that appears to have satisfied everyone.


A large television screen was set up in the temple room and a camera was put in Srila Gurudevas room. Last night during Bhajans and then again at the beginning of our program the entire temple got darshan of Srila Gurudeva for about 5 minutes or so each time. The devotees sang OH Hey Vaishnava Thakura during bhajans and Sri Guru Charana Padma during the beginning of the program. All were very happy and tearful at the same time. Srila Gurudeva was resting peacefully in his bed both times.


SO right now the atmosphere here is very hopeful for a Srila Gurudeva to remain with us for some more time. At least that is what I am feeling from the devotees that are around Srila Gurudeva on his exceptional health care seva team.


We begin Govardhan Praikrama today. All Glories to Sri Giriraja Govardhan Ki Jaya!!!!
