SRILA GURUDEVAS GROWING HEALTH!

Madahava Maharaja announced the other day that 2 sannyasis would be allowed to go into Srila Gurudevas room each day for Darshan. Today Nemi Maharaja and I went to see Srila Gurudeva. It was a brief visit only a few minutes as Srila Gurudeva's room is set up with special air filtration and oxygen system so that Srila Gurudeva can get pure clean oxygenated air. The more people in the room the more oxygen is consumed and the less oxygen for Srila Gurudeva. So to conserve the oxygen for him visits are short and sweet.

Even though Srila Gurudeva was resting just to see his Divine form in person was a nectar bath for the eyes. He appeared to be resting very peaceful, not at all restless from any discomfort. I did not want to disturb him so I just ever so gently grazed my fingers down his to offer a little personal service like a light soft massage. I then touched his feet and left the room. Just the boon of being able touch his divine form was so delightful. Srila Gurudeva has been giving regular darshans on the TV every day at intervals to the delight of all of the devotees.

Srila Gurudeva has been growing in strength every day, a little at a time. He got up to day in the wheel chair and had a Bath. That is the first time, according to Brajanath Prabhu, that he has done that since being in Govardhan, a very good sign for sure. He has increased his intake of nutrition through the tube in the form of foods and concentrated foods, which is important to gain the needed strength to recover fully. His regular bodily functions are going on in a normal and healthy fashion without discomfort. There is some slight discomfort on occasion from some air with in the stomach. However with regular feedings at short intervals that has lessened to almost nil.

One of the important markers to keep an eye on is the metastases of cancer within the body. This means monitoring the cancer to see if it has spread to locations other then where the original Tumor was found. There is a disciple of Srila Gurudeva who  is a an oncologist for 20 years. This is a Medical Doctor who specializes in Cancer treatment. She is familiar with the symptoms that present themselves when the cancer has spread to different bodily organs like the liver the pancreas and the lungs. She says that she does not see any symptoms that the cancer has spread anywhere else in the body form its original location. Therefore it is her very learned opinion that the Cancer remains localized.  This is of course excellent news.

Tomorrow is the 9th November. It is the day that Srila Bhaktivedanta Trivikrama Maharaja left in 2003 and the day that Srila Bhaktivedanta Vamana Maharaja left in 2004. Although many devotees have said that there has been some statement made by Srila Gurudeva that he said in the future he will leave on that day, Madhava Maharaja and Brajanath Prabhu have said that they have never heard such a statement. So we should all go with that. Lets all accept the positive energy that Srila Gurudeva will be with us for many more years and it will most certainly happen. Please pray to Giriraja Govardhan and Srimati Radhika to please allow Srila Gurudeva to stay and guide us for some more years. Chant. Pray and love show Srila gurudeva how much you love him by holding kirtans to day praying for him to remain with us longer.
