All Glories to Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Goswami Maharaja on his disappearnce day! He was Srila Prabhupada's bosom buddy. In 1975 after the big marathon where the BBT published 17 books in two months they interviewd Srila Prabhupada for the sankirtan news letter. They asked him if he did not finish the Srimad Bhagavatam then would anyone else be able to translate it into English and write the purports. Srila Prabhupada said only my god brother B.R. Sridhara Maharaja could do that. They published that in the Sankirtan News letter I remember reading that.
Another time when Srila Prabhupada visited Srila Sridhara Maharaja they were talking upstairs alone about the Bhagavad Gita commentary that Srila Sridhara Maharaja was writing. This is where Srila Sridhara Maharaja explains the chatur sloki in terms of Rasa tattva. When Srila Prabhupada came down one of his disciples asked him what they were talking about and Srila Prabhupada told them if I told you the you would faint.
