More drops of nectar from the Laghu-bhagavatamrta of Srila Rupa Goswami

by :

Bv Suddhadvaiti Swami

Sri Narasimhadeva has many vilasa forms, such as Laksmi-Narasimha, with many different colors and activities, mentioned in the Puranas. They are visible in Jana-loka and the eternal abode of Vaikuntha
Some of the avataras of the Lord reside within the material universe, like Sri Narasimhadeva in Jana-loka. All the avataras have also abodes in the spiritual world.
The Lord has 3 forms called paravestha: The 6 qualities of the Lord are fully manifest in Sri Narasimhadeva, Sri Rama and Sri Krishna, who successively manifest more powers.
The relationship between Sri Narasimhadeva, Sri Rama and Sri Krishna is like lamps lit from the lamp of the 6 powers manifest in Sri Krishna.
Sri Rama manifests much more sweetness than Sri Narasimhadeva, who, He, manifests more power.
Although Sri Narasimhadeva is ferocious, He is cool as the moon for His devotees.
Of the 3 forms of Sri Narasimhadeva, Sri Rama and Sri Krishna, Krishna is the best. This is not astonishing because the nature revealed in Krishna is not seen in the others. Sri Rama and Sri Narasimhadeva are worshipped as the avarana Deities of Krishna because Krishna is svayama-rupa. (Svayambhuva Agama).
All the avataras forms of the Lord are complete, since They are all the Lord, but they don’t display all the powers of the Lord.
Krishna says, “The forms such as Matsya, Kurma, etc., are all dear to Me, but among them, the form of Rama is My very soul among these forms, because of the similarity of lila, rupa and nature. (Brahmanda Purana)
