Laukik Sambanduvat Priti

Although Srila Gurudeva is God’s dearmost devotee and therefore he doesn’t really need our prayers for his protection as he already has God’s full protection. Yet, in the realm of love and deep familial affection, such mood of aisvarya or awe and reverence naturally becomes ignored. Just like Mother Yasoda, she prayed to all the incarnations of Lord Krishna such as Lord Vishnu, Narayana, Nrsimhadeva, etc. for the protection of her darling son, Krishna."


"Mother Yasoda and all the Vrajavasis have laukik sambanduvat priti or that love and affection resembling the love between bosom friends in this world. They see Krishna as their very own family member. This is called madhurya bhava, sweetness mood. Similarly a disciple should have the same laukik sambandhuvat priti to Sri Guru and in this mood serve Sri Guru with utmost care and affection."
